US and Russian officials have

agreed to explore

the “economic and investment opportunities” that could arise for their countries from an end to the war in

Ukraine

after talks in Saudi Arabia that amounted to a tectonic shift in the United States’ approach to Moscow.

US president Donald Trump

pushed back

against president Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s objections to

being excluded

from talks between the US and Russia in Saudi Arabia aimed at ending the war. He also seemed to suggest that Ukraine was to blame for a war that began only after Russia invaded.

Zelenskyy

said

that US-Russian talks so far were “to make sure that Ukraine is weak” and that “if anyone wants to replace me right now, that will not work”, after Trump called for new elections in Ukraine.

We’d like to hear from Ukrainians, including people in the Ukrainian diaspora, how they feel about the Ukraine-Russia peace process and the Trump administration-led peace negotiations so far.

If you are Ukrainian, what is your view on the prospect of having elections in Ukraine, and of Europeans troops in Ukraine? What are your views on president Zelenskyy?
